Minimum Grade Point Average Requirement

Empire State University undergraduate students must maintain a 2.00 GPA. A student who has completed at least 8 credits at SUNY Empire and whose cumulative GPA is below 2.00 is placed on academic warning. If a student who is on academic warning still has a cumulative GPA of less than 2.00 after earning 16 additional credits at SUNY Empire (i.e., after earning a total of at least 24 graded credits at SUNY Empire), the student is academically dismissed. A cumulative 2.00 GPA is a requirement for graduation.
